Taner Esensoy, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Esensoy is a board certified pediatrician and has
been an active member of Fayetteville Healthcare Community
since 1996.
Before starting his private practice on March 2005, Dr.
Esensoy worked at Fayetteville Children's Clinic for
six years.
Dr. Esensoy completed his pediatric medicine training
at The State University of New York Health Science
Center at Brooklyn, New York. Prior to obtaining his
specialty degree, he worked as a research coordinator at New York
Medical College for two years in Neuroscience.
Dr. Esensoy is a Fellow of American Academy of
Pediatrics and member of American Medical Association, North
Carolina Medical Society and Cumberland County Medical Society.
Along with his board certification in General Pediatrics,
he is also a diplomat of American Association of Hospital
Physicians as well as American Association of Ethical
Physicians. Dr. Esensoy was accepted to the National Registry
of Who's Who which is a highly recognized biographical publication
for professionals, as a life member for the recognition of
exemplary service both to community and to a profession.
He was also named in "America's Top Pediatricians " in
the year 2001-2002 and 2004-2005 edition by the Consumers
Research Council of America.
Dr. Esensoy enjoys all aspects of Pediatric Care
with a special interest in Pediatric Infectious
Diseases. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Esensoy
loves spending time with his wife and two children.
Shobha Shekhar, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Shekhar is a board certified pediatrician who has completed her pediatrics medical training from Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Shekhar obtained her graduate degree in medicine in Mysore, India, prior to obtaining her specialty degree in the US. Dr. Shekhar spent 5 hears in the UK working in Pediatrics, obtained her board certification, and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of UK.
Dr. Shekhar is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the North Carolina Medical Society & Cumberland County Medical Society.
Dr. Shekhar enjoys all aspects of General Pediatric Care.
Dr. Shekhar resides in Fayetteville with her husband and 4 year old son.
Anna Schilling, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Schilling is a 1993 graduate of New York University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at Montefiore Children's Hospital/Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Prior to moving to Fayetteville, Dr. Schilling had worked for five years in her own practice in Western NC. Dr. Schilling enjoys all aspects of Pediatric care.
She and her husband Kevin reside in Eastover.
Leah A. Black, PA-C
Leah Black is a certified Physician Assistant and
has been practicing in pediatrics since 1999.
Before joining Rainbow Pediatrics, in December 2005,
Mrs. Black worked at ABC Pediatrics in Dunn, NC for
six years.
Mrs. Black completed her undergraduate training in
Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. She then went on to complete her graduate
degree in the Physician Assistant program at Duke University.
Mrs. Black is a member of the North Carolina Academy
of Physician Assistants as well as the American Academy
of Physician Assistants. She is a native of Fayetteville
and currently resides in Eastover with her husband
and two daughters.
Lareshia L. Slade, CPNP
Lareshia Slade is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has been providing Pediatric nursing care since 1998.
Mrs. Slade completed her undergraduate training in Nursing at Hampton University, Hampton, VA. She then went on to complete her graduate degree in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program at Hampton University as well.
Mrs. Slade is a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., which is a professional association for professional nurses. She resides in Sanford and enjoys spending quality time with her husband.
