Rainbow Pediatrics Announces Scholarship Contest Winners

Rainbow Pediatrics’ Fund My Future Contest Awarded Three Local Teenagers with a College Scholarship

April 30, 2015 – Fayetteville, NC – Fayetteville, North Carolina based pediatric group, Rainbow
Pediatrics, announced today the creation of the Fund My Future Scholarship contest for active patients who are high school juniors or seniors. The contest is in honor of Rainbow Pediatrics’ ten-year anniversary. The winners will be determined by an essay contest and will receive one of three award amounts of $500, $1,000 and $1,500 towards college education.

Participants in the contest will be asked to describe how winning the scholarship would make a difference in their future. They will also be asked to share a quote that defines them. Each essay will be judged based on creativity, originality and communication, as well as adherence to the contest rules. The top three participants will be awarded the scholarship amount based on their ranking as first place, second place or third place winner.

The team at Rainbow Pediatrics knows the importance of community involvement and continually supports efforts to improve the lives of those within it.

“The concept of the contest came from an idea to offer our patients something as a thank you for trusting us to care for their children for the past ten years,” said Taner Esensoy, MD, Pediatrician and Founder at Rainbow Pediatrics. “The scholarship provides a great opportunity to not only give back but also support the continuing education of our patients,” Esensoy added.

Entries for consideration in the Rainbow Pediatrics’ Fund My Future Scholarship Contest will be accepted from May 1 to May 31, 2015. The three winners will be announced in June and each will be granted a cash award that can be applied towards the cost of his or her college education.
