Randal McLean, PA-C

Pediatric Provider, Hope Mills

Randal McLean, a North Carolina native, has always had a passion for working in healthcare. Born and raised in Lumberton, she was inspired to pursue a career that would allow her to support and serve her community while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Randal completed her undergraduate studies at Peace College in Raleigh, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry. During her time in college, she explored various career paths before discovering the physician assistant profession. Her decision was solidified after shadowing primary care and pediatric physician assistants, which ultimately led her to pursue a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Methodist University.

Her professional journey commenced with roles in urgent care and obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) before transitioning into pediatrics, aligning with her prior experience in female patient care. Randal has a special interest in adolescent health and is devoted to guiding her patients through the unique challenges of this stage of life. She thrives in environments where she can continue learning and engage with her patients and their families to deliver exceptional care.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Randal enjoys staying active outdoors, exercising, reading, tending to her yard and flower garden, and cherishing moments with her loved ones. Additionally, she has a passion for collecting pottery and art, often seeking out local artists during her travels. Notably, Jim Tripp is among her favorite local artists, and her collection serves as a testament to her enriching experiences across different destinations.
