Stephanie Novak, CPNP-PC

Stephanie NovakStephanie Novak is a Primary Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Novak is currently accepting patients in our Raeford and Fayetteville (McPherson Church Road) locations.

Stephanie Novak grew up in a small town in Northern Germany named Alt Duvenstedt, located off the Baltic coast near the Danish border. She came to the U.S. in high school and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to attend Grand Canyon University and received her nursing degree.

Stephanie grew up with considerable exposure to the possibilities that come from a healthcare career. An RN, Stephanie’s mother was one of many family members who inspired her to go into nursing. Her uncle, a physician working for Doctors Without Borders, and her aunt, who worked for ten years in Thailand helping perform cleft lip/palate surgeries, also inspired her to make a difference as they did.

Following graduation, Stephanie worked as a stork nurse, attending deliveries and taking care of babies after being born. She also provided postpartum care to new moms including lactation counseling.

Desiring to make an even greater impact, Stephanie attended Duke University Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program where she specialized in primary care. In addition to her extensive education and training, Stephanie has deepened her knowledge in the care of newborns by becoming NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified, STABLE certified, and also a lactation counselor.

With deep experience working inside the hospital system, Stephanie is looking forward to following her patients through their developmental stages. And while she loves working with babies, she is excited to work with children and adolescents of all ages.

Stephanie and her husband, a military service member, have lived in Fayetteville since 2004. When not working, they enjoy adventure racing (they do a couple of races every year), mountain biking, kayaking, trail running, and CrossFit. Stephanie lives in the country with her family, a Doberman Pinscher, a cat, and two horses. She and her two daughters enjoy riding their horses whenever they can.

Fun fact: Stephanie has been skydiving a couple of times. When she was 15, she took student pilot lessons. Stephanie and her family travel to Germany to visit family and friends every year.
