Andrea Lanao, DO

Dr. Andrea Lanao is a board-certified pediatrician who is fluent in Spanish and works in our Fayetteville and Raeford locations.

Dr. Lanao (pronounced LaNow) was born and raised in South Florida. She is the first American in her family, who are descendants from Colombia. 

Dr. Lanao completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. It was during this time that Dr. Lanao fell in love with medical and pediatric care while serving in Peru for an international medical mission providing health examinations and education to the underserved. 

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Dr. Lanao went on to Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, SC where she pursued her degree in Osteopathic Medicine. After completing the program, Dr. Lanao relocated back to Florida to complete her residency at Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education (PBCGME). 

The desire to be close to family propelled Dr. Lanao to relocate to North Carolina where she is ecstatic to be close to her brother and sister-in-law as well as her niece and nephew whom she lovingly refers to as her “little kids.”

Dr. Lanao is a huge Dachshund admirer and enthusiast and loves spending time with her dog. She is hoping to add a blonde Dachshund to her family in the near future. Dr. Lanao enjoys biking and sightseeing and is looking forward to getting outside in nature while exploring the beauty of North Carolina.
